Chameleon to create in memoriam fundraising site for Mind

25/10/2011

Mind logoMind has chosen Chameleon to design and develop a new fundraising website devoted to in memoriam giving.

The leading mental health charity in England and Wales, Mind’s vision is that everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect. Its fundraising team recognised that a significant number of donations comes from fundraisers setting up pages on sites like Just Giving, in memory of a lost friend or family member. So the charity wanted to give these fundraisers a space of their own online.

‘Memory Space’ will be a Mind-owned and branded platform that allows users to create their own fundraising page in tribute to a loved one. Friends and family can then add memories in the form of messages, pictures and videos, as well as donating to Mind’s cause, and sharing the page through social networking sites.

Caroline Corr, Head of Public Fundraising at Mind, tells us "We’re looking forward to being able to offer a unique and personal website especially for those supporters fundraising in memory of someone close to them. We’re pleased to be working with the experienced team at Chameleon on this important project."
