CAFOD, the official overseas development agency of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales, works with communities in over 40 countries around the world to help end poverty and fight injustice.

The new website will support CAFOD's organisational aim to encourage supporters to give, act and pray. Improvements such as the optimisation of online donations, promotion of campaign participation and the ability to download spiritual resources will all contribute towards meeting CAFOD's vision to raise awareness and understanding of the causes of poverty and inspire a commitment to lasting change.

Chameleon will start by defining a user-centric information architecture, which involves producing a detailed analysis of CAFOD's target audiences, and defining the appropriate arrangement of the site's content in order to meet those audiences' needs.

A new visual redesign will work to better highlight the charity's work overseas, and the site will be integrated with CAFOD's social network sites and blogs. The content management system behind the site will be tailored to meet the specific needs of CAFOD's editorial staff, ensuring ongoing content creation is as efficient as possible.

Phil Sandys, Digital Manager at CAFOD, is looking forward to seeing the project take shape: 'Chameleon's strategic approach to web design and development means that I'm confident this project will not only result in a website that effectively conveys our aims and messages, but will have a real impact on supporter engagement. I can't wait for the new site to go live.'
